HSC Preparation Program

1. Pre-Trial Preparation

The program begins with a free Pre-Trial Exam on 10th of July open to all students, followed by a detailed online review session where teachers will go through solutions, common mistakes, and exam techniques.

2. Preparation Exams

Throughout the term, students will complete four Preparation Exams, covering all HSC modules.

The four Preparation Exams are scheduled for:

• Holiday Week 2 (13 July – 19 July )
• School Term Week 2 (27 July – 2 August)
• School Term Week 4 (10 – 16 August)
• School Term Week 6 (24 – 30 August)

3. Weekly Review Lessons

Following each assessment, students will attend dedicated review lessons where teachers will:

• Explain exam solutions and marking criteria
• Review common student errors
• Reinforce key syllabus concepts
• Share HSC exam strategies and techniques

The focus of these lessons is not simply content revision, but helping students understand how to maximise marks in HSC examinations.

Student will be given summary notes in class, summary notes are not a repetition of the previous class notes. Instead, the key concepts and important skills have been reorganised from a different perspective than the original teaching sequence, with a greater focus on developing a holistic, inter-module understanding of the course.

4. Mock Exam & Final Revision

In Week 9, all Zhang’s HSC students will sit a full Mock Exam.

This will be followed by:

• Comprehensive feedback
• Mock Exam Review lessons
• All Modules Revision sessions to address final areas for improvement before the HSC

Additional information

• All tests must be booked through the Zhang’s HSC App (Appointments section)
• Students should arrive 5–10 minutes before their scheduled exam time
• Recordings of all review lessons will remain available for revision before the HSC
