I strive to reframe complex ideas and concepts, viewing them from a new perspective to ultimately help students understand these ideas intuitively whilst also developing their critical think-ing skills. To me, science is not simply the memorisation of knowledge, but the application and exposure to new ideas which deepen our understanding of the wider world around us.

Mr Li

Junior Science Teacher
Bachelor of Actuarial Studies/Computer Science at UNSW

Top 5 Overall at Caringbah High School (2022)

My teaching style aims to build a strong understanding of fundamental scientific concepts so students can further excel in HSC. This is achieved through using analogies and real-life applications to reinforce students’ understanding, whilst also encouraging students to contribute to classroom discussions. Through this, I hope to motivate student growth and confidence in tackling questions, leading to an overall fun and fulfilling classroom experience.

Mr Mei

Chemistry Teacher
Bachelor of Advanced Mathematics (Honours) / Computer Science at UNSW

95 in Chemistry (2022)
95 in Physics (2022)
Top 10 in Chemistry at James Ruse
5th in James Ruse Chemistry Trial Examination (2022)

I aim to prioritise an understanding of fundamental principles and key ideas, allowing students to develop their intuition towards more challenging concepts and eliminating the need for rote-memorisation of content. This is paired with a variety of practice questions and extension material which allows students to gain confidence in the application of their skills within an exam environment.

Mr Wei

Physics Teacher
Bachelor of Science / Doctor of Dental Medicine at USYD

Top 3 Overall at The King’s School (2022,2023)

My teaching style is a flexible question-based approach which prioritises personally tailored feedback for each student and classroom engagement. I seek to breakdown complex concepts into manageable pieces and consolidate them through relevant exam style questions, which encourages students to manipulate and apply new knowledge so they can tackle any problem they face.
